In the framework of cooperation program between the Vietnamese Government and Korean Government, through the International Labour Organization, in July and August 2004, the Department of Occupational Safety opened 03 training courses on OSH in small construction sites in Hanoi and 01 on working condition improvement in small and medium enterprises and production establishments in Bat Trang handicraft village. Besides experts from the Department, Ms Yuka Ujita, OSH Specialist of the ILO gave lectures at the courses.
The training courses were aimed to provide necessary knowledge on OSH in small construction sites for managers, technical officers, OSH officers in construction enterprises; knowledge on OSH in small and medium enterprises for workers, employers in Bat Trang handicraft village; who can through concrete actions improve their working conditions and prevent occupational accidents and diseases.
