On 26 th Aug. 2003, in Ha Noi, Ministry of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam (MOLISA) and Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) signed the technical corporation agreement in the field of OSH. Pursuant to the signed agreement, MOLISA and KOSHA will exchange experts, technical information and materials to promote health and safety at workplaces by establishing cooperative relationship between MOLISA and KOSHA in the field of OSH. The validity of the co-operative agreement lasts for 3 years and it may be extended upon mutual consent.
Carrying out the official signed agreement, in 2003, KOSHA depatched experts to Vietnam to help Department of Occupational Safety research on the workers’ compensation fund in the future and provided some scholarships for OSH officers of Vietnam.
In the present development stage, Vietnam really need technical assistance as well as technical equipments to enhance OSH administration in Vietnam in order to meet the practical requirements.
