04:39' PM - Thursday, 21/09/2006 | | On 1st December 2005, at the headquarter of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, representative of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) Mr. Lee Hun Jae granted devices for OSH training to the Centre for OSH Training (under the Bureau for Safe Work). This is one of the activities under the framework of cooperation agreement signed between the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency in 2003, consisting of expert exchange and assistance between the two sides in the field of occupational safety and health.
Donated equipment amounts totally 1,500 USD, including various kinds of personal protective equipment for training such as safety shoes, safety belts, safety glasses, dust masks, safety face shields ... These are modern devices used widely in working sites in Korea. Through this donation, KOSHA wishes Vietnamese workers to be trained and have more opportunities to access and use advanced occupational safety devices, ensuring safety standards. The Training Centre for Occupational Safety and Health, which is delivered to, says that these devices will be used for both training activities and activities for raising awareness of occupational safety in production by workers.
