The National Week on OSH and PFE has promoted awareness on importance of labour protection among central authorities, organizations in the context of beginning of carrying out the cause of industrialization and modernization of the nation.
Being satisfied with the achievements of the 1st National Week on OSH and PFE, the Vietnamese Government have approved for its yearly organization and allocated a remarkable budget for:
Organization of training courses for trainers on OSH and PFE, who are from ministerial agencies, occupational sectors, and provincial entrusted offices. Subsequently, the trained trainers will provide such training to employers, workers, safety and hygiene supervisors in enterprises.
Promotion of information dissemination activities that will enhance awareness among workers on OSH through varying means, such as: press conferences, national and provincial radio and television broadcasting diffuse news and images of work protection as well as introducing and giving guidelines on ensuring occupational safety and health and preventing fire and explosion…; publication and distribution of OSH and PFE leaflets…

Further equipments of means and technical supporting devices have been used for inspections.
Further study labour protection on the technological and medical aspects.
Revision and amendments of policy framework on OSH, especially the provisions on OSH in the newly revised Labour Code of that defines improvement and expansion of the beneficiaries to labour compensations as well as labour inspection system restructure by integrating the three existing inspection entities: labour safety inspectorate, labour policy inspectorate and labour hygiene inspectorate in order to strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of inspections.
Annually, as much as 7,200 million VND is budgeted for organization of the National Week on OSH and PFE throughout the country.
By organizing the National Week on OSH and PFE, the collaboration and coordination between Ministries of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Public Security and Vietnam General Confederation of Labour has been tightened and consolidated. Thanks to that, local affiliates and offices at decentralized level have been given with uniform and consistent directions and guidelines driving to great improvement.
In addition, great attentions paid by the Government and relevant central authorities on OSH matter is the critical encouragement to ensure the safety and health of workers at workplace that is also the proof of appreciation of the Party and the State to consider human as the most valuable factor in the society and ensuring safety and health of worker is the first priority of sustainable socioeconomic development.
