National Workshop Improving the reporting system of occupational accidents

02:39' PM - Saturday, 18/12/2010

Under regulations of the Labour Code, all cases of occupational accidents happening at enterprises have to be notified and reported to competent agencies, but actually, many cases of occupational accidents are under report. Therefore the administrative agencies lack the reliable sources of information to control and evaluate the situation and give out the appropriately preventative measures.

In the framework of the ILO/Japan project on OSH (RAS/08/07M/JPN), the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs co-operated with the International Labour Organization (ILO) to hold a follow-up seminar on “Improvement of the current reporting system of occupational accidents” on 6th Sep 2010 in Ho chi Minh city. The purpose of the workshop is to exchange information and experiences in order to find the feasible and effective solutions to improve the current reporting system of occupational accidents in Vietnam.
